" .
. . and, lo,
I am
with you always,
even unto the end of the world."
Matthew 28:20
Walk On!
Is it really possible
to walk with Jesus in this day and time?
Can we walk with Him at
work, in our homes,
in the street, in the
stores?
When troubles arise and
we get weary,
when our best-laid
plans fall apart,
Can we walk with Him
then?
The answer is a
confident "Yes!"
It is not necessary to
flee behind stained-glass windows
or into a quiet corner
of a room somewhere
to have Jesus'
continuing presence.
He who knew the streets
and shops of Nazareth
and carried the cross
of our salvation to Calvary's Hill,
knows the streets of
our cities and towns as well as we do.
He knows the
temptations they offer.
He hears their noise
and confusion.
He sees the problems
they bring.
This is when our faith
should bring Him near through His Word.
Our faith is not
everything it should be if it fails us
in the everyday
experiences and troubles in life.
For great trials and
sorrows, our Lord gives great strength.
He gives us the steady
power to bear the little problems,
the big
ones, and every difficulty in
life.
He is an ever-present,
powerful Savior,
a warm-hearted Friend,
a constant, loving
Companion,
Who is with us wherever
we go.
So, may we walk on,
with our head up high,
looking to Jesus,
the Author and Finisher
of our faith,
Who promises,
"I am
with you always."
