Lighthouse After the Storm

Have you ever been caught in a storm?
I mean a really bad storm.
Out in the open with no cover to hide in.
Most of us have been at least on land.
But on land there is almost always a place to hide.

On the water, out at sea your on your own.
No place to hide, no place to run, just your self.
So much can happen and then what to do?
Motor stop, water in boat, etc, I’ve seen it all.

When your out working many miles from shore.
So many things could go wrong and what to do?
If your smart you do not just depend on one’s self.
That’s not good enough, it will get you in trouble.

You must have a plan and a good plan at that.
You must know of a “Safe Harbor”!
You must know how to get there.
Then you must know how to get in side.

How do you know where to go and how to get in.
On the sea we have maps called charts.
They give us so much information on safe places.
But we have to follow it in every detail for safety.

Most of the safe places have small openings.
They are strait with rocks on both sides.
(
A narrow channel of the sea joining two larger bodies of water)
You must follow it exactly or you will be lost.

Life is the same way, you must have a map.
You must have a safe way or your lost.
You must follow that safe way or end up on the rocks.
Jesus is the way and the Bible is the map.

You must follow it exactly. Though its not hard.
The way is strait with rocks on both sides.
But the map is clear and easy to follow.

8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth,
and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith,
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek:
for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
Romans 10:8-12

Jesus is our Lighthouse and when He is in our life
the storm calms down.
Let Him be your Safe Harbor today.
