"And while they abode in Galilee,
Jesus said unto them,
The Son of
man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:
And they
shall kill him, and the third day he shall be
raised again."
"Behold, we
go up to Jerusalem;
and the Son
of man shall be betrayed unto the chief
priests
and unto the
scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,
And shall
deliver him to the Gentiles to mock,
and to
scourge, and to crucify him:
and the third
day he shall rise again."
"For he taught his disciples, and
said unto them,
The Son of
man is delivered into the hands of men,
and they
shall kill him;
and after
that he is killed, he shall rise the third
day."
"Behold, we
go up to Jerusalem;
and the Son
of man shall be delivered unto the chief
priests,
and unto the
scribes;
and they
shall condemn him to death,
and shall
deliver him to the Gentiles:
And they
shall mock him, and shall scourge him,
and shall
spit upon him, and shall kill him:
and the third
day he shall rise again."
"The Son of
man must suffer many things,
and be
rejected of the elders and chief priests and
scribes,
and be slain,
and be raised
the third day."
"And he said unto them,
Go ye, and
tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils,
and I do
cures today and tomorrow,
and the third
day I shall be perfected."
"For he shall
be delivered unto the Gentiles,
and shall be
mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted
on:
And they
shall scourge him,
and put him
to death:
and the third
day he shall rise again."
And said unto them,
"Thus it is
written, and thus it behooved Christ to
suffer,
and to rise
from the dead the third day."

The Third Day!
There are
eight references to the "third day" mentioned
in the New Testament by Jesus Himself.
He makes it
quite clear to us about His resurrection.
The chief
priests and the Pharisees were determined that
Jesus was
going to stay in His grave.
They used
every resource
and power available to see to that.
They secured
the tomb by placing a seal
on the great
stone that had been rolled in front of it
to close the
entrance.
They posted
guards at the entrance of His tomb.
In spite of
all their human efforts,
they were
unable to prevent Jesus from accomplishing
what had
already been determined and promised:
"After three
days, I will rise again."
These
carnal-minded, religious leaders did not know
that
nothing in the physical
realm
has the
ability to hinder the divine will from
accomplishing
its purpose.
They could
not stop a real resurrection!
Paul states
that all who are baptized into Christ
are baptized
into his death,
and in the
same manner that Christ was resurrected,
they are to
be resurrected to a new life in Christ.
(Romans
6:3-7)
God's incomparably great power is available
for those
who believe.
"And what is the
exceeding greatness of his power
to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his
mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ,
when he raised him from the dead,
and set him at his
own right hand in the heavenly places."
Ephesians 1:19,20
If you
deliberately decide in your heart that you are
going
to bury your
old self
and be resurrected to a new life in Christ,
you have
God's promise that you cannot be stopped.
Excuses are
endless,
but if you
want to be resurrected to a new life you will
be.
No one can stop a real
resurrection!
