"Divers weights are an abomonation unto the LORD;
and a false balance is not good.
Man's goings are of the LORD;
how can a man then understand his own way?"
Proverbs 20:23-24

NO Where to Go?
~~~**~~~
Today's society stays quite busy around the clock today. Nearly every family has access to two or more vehicles ~ most of which are always on the road. We are so fast paced, but where are we going? What are we accomplishing in our travels? And now, the "stinging" question: Is it all for self-gain? Ouch! Where will all this "running around" take us? When will we get there? Just where are we going?
I realize it is necessary for all of us to work, because we do have to make a living. But what about all the other "running around" we busy our time with? Is it all necessary? Is it productive? But more importantly, is it pleasing to God? Do we spend at least a portion of our "spare time" in ways that help to benefit others? This is something to think on.
In the last 3 1/2 years that Jesus walked on the face of this earth before His crucifixion, He walked! He walked everywhere He went, preaching, teaching, healing. He accomplished much, including atonement for our sins (which, by the way, He walked to His own horrible death, carrying His own cross)! Yet, every step of the way, He WALKED!
Now, here we are, two or three car families, making our life here on earth much easier, and we selfishly sit back and "enjoy the ride." How can we understand the road we travel without knowing Who directs our steps?
It is God's desire for each and every one of us to live well. But He also requires us to look to Him for direction in our lives as we trust in His saving grace and walk circumspectly. "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."
Won't you look to the Lord, so you can
KNOW Where To Go?
