"FRET not thyself because of evildoers, neither be envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday."
Psalm 37:1-6

Don't Envy Evil
~~~**~~~
The 37th Chapter of the Book of Psalm talks about the true state of the wicked. Though David was troubled by the prosperity of the unrighteous, he knew by faith that their undeserved bounty would be cut off. His underlying belief is that God will intervene in His time! Then the temporary reversal of fortunes will be set right and the righteous shall inherit the earth.
David should be an influence on us today.
We should never envy evil people, even though some may be extremely popular or excessively rich. Sometimes, it is hard not to envy because we are still in this corrupt world. But we must remember, no matter how much others have, it will fade and vanish like grass that withers and dies.
Those who follow God however, live differently from the wicked, and in the end, will have treasure in heaven.
What an unbeliever gets in his lifetime will only last a lifetime. But what a faithful Christian gets as a believer, following God, will last an eternity.
David calls us to take delight in the Lord and to commit ourselves to Him. He will fulfill our every need while we are here on this earth.
Commit yourself ~ Entrust all you have to Him to control and to guide you. He can better take care for us than we ever could!
May you have a wonderfully blessed day sharing the Good News of Jesus in every situation you encounter.
